2. Canon Character Information
Name: Margaery Tyrell
PB: Natalie Dormer
Age: Early 20s
Appearance: Margaery is tall, slender and very elegant. She walks with a great deal of grace and poise. Her manner is regal, yet friendly and kind. She looks as though she is born to be queen. Her features are beautiful, with long auburn hair and sharp blue eyes. Her lovely face is able to conceal whatever calculation and thoughts that may be running through her mind. Her beauty works as a mask, distracting any from her true purpose and aim in life, never letting them know what her motives are.

History: http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Margaery_Tyrell, http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Margaery_Tyrell

Powers/Talents: None, save for an ability to manage the game of thrones and come through it unscathed.

Personality: Margaery's true personality is unclear. There are aspects of her that we are able to glean. For instance, it is clear that she is genuinely interested in helping the poor and being a good queen. She visits orphanages, buys local foods and purchases gowns from local seamstresses in King's Landing. Her the leftovers from her wedding feast were to go to the poorest in the kingdom, her idea. She befriended Sansa Stark, though it was dangerous to do so, given Joffery's desire to torment her. Margaery seems to have a soft spot for those who are in need of more aid than others. She also is extremely good with children, taking Tommen under her wing, and looking after the children of King's Landing.

She is extremely clever, her true motives and desires never fully clear and a mystery, even to other characters. She seems to know just what to say to keep herself from trouble. She can navigate through the Game of Thrones, always keeping her hands clean (or at least appearing clean) from plots and intrigue. It takes Cersei to fabricate evidence to actually get Margaery in trouble, and even then, most people believe her to be innocent of the crimes she is accused of.

Margaery is ambitious, desiring to become Queen, even attaching herself to three Kings in succession. Strangely, she is always granted her wish, even if it isn't for long. She is close to her family, her brother Loras being her strongest relationship.
Affairs of the heart seem to be largely ignored, her ambition driving her further. If she has ever felt anything for anyone romantically, it is not known. Instead, she takes a very pragmatic view of marriage and child rearing, hardly phased by the idea of marrying a sociopathic monster (Joffery) or a child. She is more interested in being a good Queen and seeing her spouse become a good King.

She is loyal, even after she switches sides. When Renly dies, she whole heartedly sides with Joffery, even declaring he is King to others. When Tommen marries her, she fully ingratiates herself to him. In all things, she looks to be useful and to make her own way. She is not a passive woman, but manages to keep subtlety about her.

Why would your character be chosen? Margaery is an ideal Queen. She knows how to manage the courts, she is excellent at winning the people's affections, and she is able to pacify a troubled King/Prince. She is pleasant, ambitious and clever. Ideal traits for a future Queen.

How much does your character know about nonhumans? Probably nothing

4. Samples
First-Person: I watch him during the feast. This man who is now my husband. Joffery, King of the Seven Kingdoms. The golden lion that we have alligned our star with. He is handsome, that is obvious. But beneath those beautiful features is a man as cold as ice. He laughs as torments his uncle, as he parades dwarves before our guests, having them enact a battle. It is...childish, perverse. He has no cares for who offends. I smile at him, my eyes glitter prettily. He is unmoved, concentrating only on his banal pleasures. Nothing can reach him, only the wickedness that is in his heart.

I am his queen now, his wife. His delights are mine, even if they cannot reach my heart. I am queen and I will not be unseated. Not even by the cruelty of this child.

Third-Person: It didn't seem real at first. Staring out of the small window, Margaery wrapped her arms around herself. This cell was now her home and only a thin, threadbare cloth to cover her body. Where once there were silks and laughter, now there was only the drafts of the sept to comfort her.

She gazed around the stone room, shocked and afraid, but still bearing her dignity as queen. She was not beaten yet. Whomever accused her of adultery was nothing but a fool. She was a rose and she would not break before the cold, her stem was strong and her roots went deep. She had thorns, as well as beauty.

"I am innocent," she whispered to herself, steeling her courage. It would be needed now. Soon they would come. The High Sept and his interrogators. They would demand she confess her crimes, and there would be a moment of weakness for her. A longing to return to Tommen, to her cousins, to her brother, and to the castle that she knew. But she could not give in. She could not whither. She was right in this, she was queen.

And though she was a rose, she was as fierce as any lion.
